Overview Jeremiah 33:1-26 - "Extreme Makeover By Yahweh". As we put together our readings through this chapter this week, let's be built up again on our most holy faith that we have in Jesus.

Jeremiah 33:1-9 - "Listen, Do You Want To Know A Secret?" We rejoin Jeremiah in our reading today, still in Zedekiah's custody, and still hearing from Yahweh. As we read today, let us see that Yahweh is purposeful in all He does, our example here being the undoing of His people, which is necessary for their eventual restoration, as they have been so long away from their God.
Let us also remember He is holy, righteous, just, and good. Those four aspects put together mean His perfect plan is meticulous to the Nth degree, accounting even for His imperfect creation mistaking His allowance for His permission. He does indeed take care of His people, but not before He takes care of their sin.

Jeremiah 33:10-11 - "The Voice Of Joy Will Be Heard Again". See also Proverbs 17:22.
Deep depression can kill people long before they actually die. Our God Yahweh has designed us to rejoice and exult IN HIS NAME. This joy that we get from that exulting cannot be substituted by rejoicing in any other object, even in other people.
In our verses today, we see the word joy (/sah•SOHN/) in association with these lyrics, "Give thanks to Yahweh Tsevaot/For Yahweh is good/For His lovingkindness is everlasting”.
You can fill a lifetime with laughter, but if it was without Yahweh, if it was without Jesus, you will have missed out on joy.

Jeremiah 33:12-13 - "Re-Pasture-ized". As we prayerfully read our portion today, let's try to recall any wastelands we may have in our lives, past or present, and let's see at the same time how Yahweh Tsevaot, the LORD of Hosts, the Boss of the Angel Armies, can restore wastelands to green pasturing, and very good for sheep herding.

Jeremiah 33:14-18 - "Jesus The Righteous Branch". See also John 17. As we read today, let us realize that as Jesus followers, we collectively are His body, and He is our Head. The assignment of His name to the city in verse 18, which will be all of us together, is not unlike a bride taking on the name of her husband. See also Revelation 21:2-3.

"We come together / To lift His praises tonight / And when we do / You know we're doing right / Don't make no difference / Where we're coming from / We believe in the Son / And that's what makes us one"

Jeremiah 33:17-18, 19-22, 23-26. "The Son That Melts The Brick". Our readings today revolve around Yahweh's promise that Israel will always have a King and a Priest. This promise is kept by Jesus Christ our Lord, who is God's own Son. He is literally God's gift to man.
And just as moon revolves around earth and earth revolves around sun, so also we should revolve around Jesus.

It is far better to follow Jesus our True Love and one day see Him face to face
Than to spurn Him our whole life and forever see our true enemy face to face.
